I really don't want to carry on with a huge debate
after this list has been going for a long time with
archives going to 1998 (everyone knew this because
of all the discussions with Mailbase and long archives
were kept or not as the case maybe and take over by
Jiscmail) We have not had any problems with members
interacting with the list and message being stored for
future reference, purpose of a list I woudl say.

then please don't send message to the list if you are worried about you
might be saying or not as the case maybe. You can always communicate on
a one to one basis with anyone you wish.
# >The option "use the delete button" is not a useful one. The correct option
you have miss understood the use of DELETE this is for messages that are
of no relevance (hopefully you can look at the subject line which will be
meaningful) or for junk/spam mail etc.
Please can be get on with the DP job, there is enough to do without all this.
I did say I would monitor as I previously did (ie subscribers had to come
through me for a period of 4 months)
