Hi Jonathan,
I'm not the resident expert on this product (she's on holiday!) but we deal
with a lot of educational establishments using this kind of product, and
have found that the SmartBoard is usually the preferred alternative (price
vs functionality vs reliability). My only recommendation would be to go for
as bright a projector as you can budget for.
Best Regards,
Antony

Subject: Interactive whiteboard - which model?
I have telephoned three companies (RM - 08709 086464, www.rm.com/FE/ ,
Bulletpoint - 0113 2007600, www.bullet-point.co.uk and Digital Message Ltd
-
01189738940), regarding the bundle price of an interactive
whiteboard/interactive whiteboard stand/projector. This equipment will be
used in a well-lit student workshop room, plus other rooms, as applicable.
It looks like my department needs to choose between two models:
1. SMART Board (touch sensitive membrane, finger can be used to annotate
the board).
2. RM Classboard (inductive, special pen required to annotate the board).
- Has anyone used either of these models, and if so could you recommend
which one we choose?
Many thanks
