The Open University DSA Office, which administers DSA awards for Open
University Students on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education and
SKILLS (as would an LEA) is engaging on a training programme for new and
continuing staff.
We are looking to train in the following areas:
1. assistive technology, with particular reference to the latest assistive
software for students with physical and/or sensory impairments + possible
future developments
2. assistive technology, with particular reference to the latest assistive
software for students with Dyslexia + possible future developments
Each session to take up to two days in total.
Any organisations interested in providing training in one or both sessions
should email an expression of interest no longer than 1 side of A4,
outlining the training offered, and your fee to [log in to unmask]

The Open University will provide 2 night's accommodation, a training room,
IT backup support and reasonable expenses.
It is hoped that training can be delivered by the end of September. please
submit your expression of interest before July 16th, 2002.
