There is guidance for LEAs that says that it is reasonable to pay for study
support, IT training etc. during the Summer vacation. It's in Paragraph B42
of Chapter 7 of the Notes of Guidance.

Hi
I know this has been said before, but it's amazing that LEAs seem to
have discretion over 'general principles' - such as whether out of
semester support should be funded. I can see sense in LEAs taking
ownership of decisions in complex individual cases - but surely there is
some clause in the LEA's guidelines that defines 'on course'?
