Hi
Students with specific mobility impairment - eg use of only one hand, RSI
and similiar conditions,
have found minikeyboards, Maltron split keyboards useful. There are also
facilities Windows accessibility
options which they have found helpful. Specialist large letter keyboards
for students
with visual impairment. However, it varies according to the needs of the
individual student,
and we would usually ask the student to try them out first of all.
Keytools have a useful list of products. (www.keytools.com)

Subject: keyboard and mouse alternatives- anticipatory provision
Hi there,
I am looking into providing specialist keyboards and mouse alternatives for
the Disability Support area in our University Resource centre(nee library.)
My aim is to anticipate as many different student needs as possible, and to
provide appropriate solutions.
What keyboard/mouse alternatives have you found most useful in your
school/university?
Any information gratefully received,
Ruth
