Is it possible to have a Friday competition on Thursday Claire?

Yes, the playing field metaphor is now overworked and, given the
present move to sell off most playing fields, perhaps not the most
appropriate. let's have a Friday competition to find another phrase!
My anon colleague and myself suggest:
...to ensure exams are not above the plimsoll line
......to clear the obstacles from the exam course
.....a hurdle-free track to performance
But we could always just say what we mean and insead of a reference
to the playing fields of England, we could write "to provide equal
opportunities" or "to make the assessment process fair and inclusive".
