Full time: 37 hours per week
Scale: £17,611 - £23,465
Applications are invited for the post of Student Adviser-IT to work
within the ACCESS Centre based at APU in Cambridge, where they will be
involved in the assessment of disabled students individual study needs.
Although based in Cambridge, visits to other APU campuses and regional
and associate colleges, as well as to other educational institutions
and locations, are an integral part of the post.
Suitable candidates will have a first degree or equivalent IT
qualification, but those who can demonstrate considerable experience in
the use of IT to support disabled people will also be considered. An
ability to respond sensitively and appropriately to the needs of
students with a disability or learning difficulty is ESSENTIAL, as are
team working skills and experience in the preparation and delivery of
training materials. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a commitment
to the field of disability research and/or training.
