I spoke to NHS about this very issue last week and was told that secondedstudents would not be eligible as they were not in receipt of a bursary. So
inequality continues - as my student in this situation said - her wage is
not much more than a bursary anyway!

Subject: Nursing students and DSA
Hi,
We're all very pleased I guess, that students on the Pre-Registration
Diploma in Nursing are going to be eligible for DSAs as of September.
Does anyone out there know if this will extend to students who are funded by
an employer?? There could be an issue there, as employers a rarely prepared
to match DSA-type funding on top of paying fees...
Looking forward to the millions of responses which are about to clog up my
mail box... I hope!
Thanks,
Kirsty
