I managed to get agreement to an oral with the
external examiner for a dyslexic student from
overseas. This student was outstanding in
coursework but was let down badly by the
combination of being dyslexic and doing exams in
English, as opposed to their native language. A
scribe was provided and the oral was set up as a
backup, but in the event was not needed, as they
did well enough to get a decent pass.
