Hi,
We've been asked by one of our Course Leaders for help with Peer
Assessment as regards students with disabilities. On this course the
students do a joint project and are assessed as a group. They also
assess each others contribution to the project. We spoke to some of the
students about it and they felt that even if they were to be told that
one of their group had dyslexia (which is common in this subject) they
would not know how that affected their work and would be likely to mark
them down if their spelling was erratic for example. The students we
talked to said they'd be looking for guidance from staff about what
would be fair in those circumstances.
Does anyone have any guidelines for peer/group assessment that they'd be
willing to share?
