>I am looking into getting qualified in the area of dyslexia diagnosis and
support in FE/HE. I have approached the Dyslexia Institute and would like
to know if anyone knows of any other courses that may be run by different
organisations? Lesley Ayres Disability Careers Adviser<
The OCR SpLD courses require candidates to teach
a primary, a secondary and an adult dyslexic learner
for the purpose of the course,
and there are relevant lectures, including study skills.
The adults are sometimes at basic literacy levels
rather than HE, but candidates could choose HE students.
Certificate candidates teach one age group only
but do not do the assessment module.
My course information may be out of date, but it would be worth asking:
OCR Diploma/Certificate courses (Oxford, Cambridge and RSA).
37 Centres for SpLD Dip. 72 Centres for Cert for CLANSA for LSAs.
