But the DDA does not require institutions - funded by the state to
provide funding to students who are not otherwise eligible for grant
funding from the state. What is required are "reasonable"
measures to be put in place where the student (defined as disabled
under the act) is otherwise at a substantial disadvantage.
Expecting a university to fund a student paying 6000 pounds per
year in fees a similar and not uncommon amount for disability
support could be described as a tad unreasonable. If not 6000
then pick your "reasonable" figure.
