There are no figures for this type of information.
However we can make an educated guess, based on reports from various
institutions and assessment centres who see the number of students in
receipt of DSA as between 60% and 70%.
This can be put into perspective when we consider that in two years
time there will be approximately 60,000 students receiving the DSA.
If anyone can point to exact figures then they are doing very well, as
it was reported at a meeting last week that the only figures collected
were the numbers of students who receive each of the four allowances. As
a rough guide approximately 10,000 students received the equipment
allowance in the year 2000/2001.

Does anyone have to hand, any up to date info on what percentage of
DSAs are
awarded to students with Dyslexia?
The average family throws out six trees worth of paper a year - respect
the
environment and be green by example; only print out this email and/or
attachments if you have to.
Thank You.
