Hi Pauline
At UW Bangor we run a Teaching in Higher Education Scheme which leads to
the award of Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education. Completion of
the Certificate is compulsory for all beginning teaching staff, and is a
requirement of probation. However, workshops are open to all staff. The
initial induction workshop (2-day residential course) is a joint venture
between Bangor and Aberystwyth and I've recently joined the team with the
aim to thread disability issues and inclusive practices through the
programme.
Additional workshops are also offered as part of the teaching and
learning development programme, as well as the general staff development
programme. Briefing sessions are delivered departmentally as and when
required.
Please contact me if you'd like any further information.
Carolyn
