Dear All,
I am currently working on a project to try and incorporate the topic of
disability into professional and educational development courses run by my
own institute here at the University for Oxford. These courses are aimed at
staff within the university.
I think most universities now have a course (either certificate or diploma)
which introduces teaching staff to the concepts of teaching and learning in
HE. Does anyone out there know if the courses run at their own universities
contain any information on teaching disabled students? If so, how is that
material presented? Is it a topic in its own right or incorporated into
other areas within the course?
Finally, if anyone can recommend some academic articles about disability and
learning and teaching that could be placed in the reading material, please
let me know. I think published articles will be better received than
something written by me!
Many thanks in anticipation.
Pauline.
