The BDA - Campaigning for a Dyslexia Friendly Society
Policy Director
Reading, Berks
Circa £31K
and pension contribution
The British Dyslexia Association is the voice of dyslexic people. The
charity offers advice, information and help to dyslexic people, their
families and the professionals who support them. Alongside this practical
help we are working to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia and to
effect change.
The BDA seeks a Director to co-ordinate the charity's policy work on
dyslexia and ensure the organisation actively represents and advocates for
the rights and needs of an all-age dyslexic population.
You will have direct experience of formulating policy and lobbying
government for change. In addition, you will have experience of
representing a disadvantaged group and in providing policy advice to
individuals, families and organisations. Experience of working in policy
development within the charitable sector is highly desirable. You will
contribute to a strong team ethos and complement the existing Directors to
achieve change.
