(Sorry to those who get this twice!)
Hello!
Just enquiring - what methods do people use to prevent small peices of equipment (such as scanner pens, headphones) from going missing from Assistive Technology Areas.
We are setting up a new ATA in our university library. I will available in the area at certain times but outside those times we are wondering how we will prevent the equipment from being stolen (we will be using strip triggers to alarm them but these can be easily removed from such equipment).
Should we lock it away when I am not there? (Meaning no headphones with mics will be available?)
Should we process them on the loan system so that studenst can borrow them whilst they are in the ATA?
If anyone has any ideas please let me know!
Sue
