Hi all,
I will speak to you directly on this Roger. However, for all of you, I work
as a specialist Information Security Recruitment Manager and DP has been a
niche of mine for some time.
Biggest DP job that I have worked on, paid 60K this was a Bank and the role
had regional responsibilities out side of the UK.
The lowest ever was a DP Officer out side of London for LG, this was an
entry level role that paid 15K
In short an officer/manager should expect to get paid 30-50k in the private
sector additional people management will bring the basic up further
obviously.
In public sector I have not seen Management requirement for more that 45K,
for risk of upset it may pay more in some cases?
Hope this helps, I will crawl back in to my hole.
Regards,
Hugo Brown
Division Manager

--------
Experian advertised their DPO job at £100,000 pa. I suspect this is at the
top end of the scale.
I also know of a couple of DPOs who are paid on LG salary scale 1/2. I
would
hope no-one is paid less than that.
From my experience I would say the average pay is probably around £25,000
but
I don't have the evidence to prove this.
Didn't someone on this list do a survey recently?
