How about accuracy and fair obtaining principles.
Statement implies trying ensure existing records are maintained with
accurate data as DPA requires, response will also give consent to process.
Id be interested to know if there is any statutory obligations under another
Act on the data subject to respond.

The long Evening Standard article on the subject that I read on the train
home from London last night stated:
"The details include name and address, all phone calls or emails made and
received, with their source and destination, and which websites have been
visited on the net.
Departments and local councils would also be able to demand mobile phone
location data, which can reveal the caller's whereabouts at any time down
to the nearset few hundred metres."
The ES also had a smaller article (headlined Firefighters' census to ask if
they are gay) about the London Fire and Emergency Authority's plan to
undertake a specific census on sexual orientation because it "claims it
must carry out the survey to satisfy data-protection rules, as well as the
Greater London Authority Act which calls for equality policies."
So which DP rules would that be that require this type of survey - anyone
got any ideas???
