I assure you I have no sinister or hidden motivation in requesting this
information. It is simply to ascertain what the role/duties/place in
the organisation structure/salary of data protection officers are in
other organisations to inform what should be done in my own
institution. No information will be disclosed to anyone except my line
manager and possibly the Personnel department, and then only in
anonymised form.
Sharing of information like this is quite normal amongst HEIs.
