That sounds like a good idea.
I'm wondering whether we would sidestep the issue completely if we
highlighted that all our systems are for business use only ? Then surely if
there is anything of a personal nature in an account it is the individuals
problem and not the College ?

I am looking at this at the moment. At present I think that access should be
given, not to read the mail, but to set an out of office response. e.g. "Mr
X no longer works at Company Y - Please email Mrs Z". This gives the sender
the option of trying to find out where Mr X has gone if it is personal, or
of resending to Mrs Z if it is business related. Voice mail can be handled
in the same way.
ps How is their normal mail handled? I can't think of a way of doing this
without opening it.
