I agree with Ian CCTV is considered a deterrent and tends to move crime.
Wonder if its cost effective then?
Another thought born from this epidemic of tongue in cheek week (;?
I suggest well organised crime can use subject access to find out where a
camera range is and how good the quality of the images are (in case they get
caught). May be worth it for high benefit targets, however this takes
planning. Low budget criminals find it easier just to avoid the camera.
A thought here for genuine data subjects making a request for CCTV images.
Such a request creates a whole new set of data which is accessible for crime
detection purposes. If privacy is your objective don't do it. (OK so Im
trying to keep down the workload)
So how long do you keep copies of subject access files?
