Speaking personally I would challenge the ACPO advice as being inherently
wrong silly and dangerous. If my face were seen on TV as the result of the
police releasing a tape they would pretty soon know my identity either
because I would complain or because I would be fingered - and they should
anticipate that they were "likely to come into the possession .." of it. Not
to mention the small matter of Unlawful or unfair processing.
