I asked the OIC at the beginning of the year for an update on timescales
re the Code of Practice. This was the reply
'the Code of Practice on the use of data in the employer/ employee
relationship is expected to be published in four parts. These parts will
be published together following limited consultation. At this stage our
expected date for publication is February 2002. The draft code has already
been subject to extensive formal consultation, and it was following this
that we decided to issue the code in parts.
We will make the parts available via the website and in hard copy format -
any updates on this will be published on the website in due course.'
I haven't checked the up to date position, but it is a bit quiet....
