Hi Charles
I just had a quick look at the site and you're right - there's no reference
to data protection at all and yet they are collecting what may often be
sensitive personal information. I'm no tekkie either but there was no
warning that you were entering a secure area or anything like that. Its
really surprising as well given their profile - and the fact that Health &
Safety are always so keen on regulations !!
I'd say they need telling. I certainly wouldn't submit any details online
and, considering their apparent obliviousness to data protection, would be
interested to know how they look after personal data whether submitted on
line or by post.
Would be interested to hear how you get on.

Hi,
Is there some requirement to report accidents at work to the Health and
Safety Executive.
They are asking for a lot of personal details
(http://riddor.nbapp.com/hse/riddor.nsf/WebF2508?OpenForm)
The form is not held at a *.gov.uk domain, it does not cater for a secure
transaction etc.
According to this page http://www.riddor.gov.uk/infocontent.html
it is law that makes employers having to comply.
=====================
We have not told the subject(s) that such a disclosure would take place,
hmmm
and if we did and they refused permission then what?
Is it the case that we disclose no matter what?
Charles
