If you want to be really concise, just print the sign of a telephone and a
telephone number from which a caller can be told of the purposes of the
processing, the name of the data controller, etc, etc. The legal requirement
is to make this fair obtaining statement "readily available". From my
perspective, its readily available by a person calling a particular phone
number.
If you want to charge a premium rate for making the phone call, then I think
you're on dangerous ground. On the other hand, you could also try making it
a freefone number - and just wait for the calls to trickle (ever so slowly)
through!!

Subject: CCTV - wording on signs

We are revising the wording on our CCTV signs, and I was wondering if anyone
else had come up with a concise form of words that I could use as a starting
point?
Our CCTV video and audio recordings are made for the following purposes:
public and employee safety, the prevention and detection of crime, the
apprehension and/or prosecution of offenders and would be used in civil and
disciplinary proceedings if the occasion arises.
Susan Graham.
