The Data Protection Act Explained is very useful. For a review of it

I thought it was a bit pricey too - 'Data Protection in Context' by
Elizabeth France might be worth the £5 cost though!
Currently refer to the IC's Legal Guidance, the IDeA's Rights in Data
Guidance for Data Protection Officers, BSI DISC PD0012 and Tolley's
Practical Guide (the latter very dry & legal but I'm based in Legal &
Corporate Services).
Considering buying one or more of the following, any recommendations /
criticisms / reviews from the group very welcome before I splash out:
'The Data Protection Acte Explained' Point of Law series
'Data Protection: Everybody's Business' British Computer Society
'Data Protection: Implementing the Legislation' British Computer
Society
'Data Protection in the UK' Peter Carey
Thanks, Kirsty.
