Graham,
I cannot quite believe that you have these views but if you are serious,
and I think you are, then it would be better keeping them to yourself
rather than putting them in writing, especially in a forum such as this.
Whilst I don't pretend to be an expert on the matter, I do know enough to
appreciate the difficulty experienced by someone that is transgendered. I
feel very sorry for anyone that is transgendered but not as sorry as I feel
for someone with the views you have expressed. Isn't a large part of data
protection supposed to be about the respect of the rights of the
individual? Haven't you heard of the Human Rights Act?

[*FX* Troll mode on]
And I wonder if you have any idea how many people find the very concept
of cross-dressing distasteful and are seriously offended by people who
promote their own weird "rainbow alliance" lifestyles by denigrating
those of us who are married?
Whilst I would not agree with the Islamic scholars who call for the
transgendered and others suffering from birth defects to be slain, I
really don't want to have to think about such subjects each time I write
a letter. Toleration of alternate lifestyles is one thing, but please
don't make it compulsory!
