I read this story - I suspect it is wholly based on a misniterpretation of
the register entry.
If the CA has Sensitive Personal Data on MPs who are CA supporters, I will
no doubt register political opinions
This does not mean that there are political opinions held on everyone on the
CA list
I might disclose details of stewards to the police - that not everyone
The problem with the story is that the journalist did not go to the CA for
an explanation of the registration

Subject: Databases held by lobbying groups
Putting aside the politics involved and personal opinions, what
comments/observations do list members have about the following story from
today's Grauniad?
"Hunt lobby holds personal files on thousands"
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,3604,823874,00.html
It seems to me that the CA database (at least potentially) conflicts with
DP principles - especially 2 and 3?
