The Lord Chancellor's Department are carrying out a wide-ranging public
consultation on the current subject access regime, including fees, response
times, frequency of requests and the question, 'Is there a case for more
closely aligning the subject access exemptions under the 1998 Act with the
exemptions under the FOI Act?'. THe closing date is 31 January 2003.
