I was under the impression that the defendant obtained all that material via
their solicitor anyway in the normal course of disclosure.
Seems you will need to speak to the solicitor dealing with the case. Some
response to the SAR will be inevitable.

One of our departments has been investigating a person with a view to
prosecution for alleged breach of licensing laws. ie noisy, rowdy, drugs
etc.
Ths person has now made an SAR. What is the position here, as to disclose
all the reports, innvestigations, evidence etc would jeopardise the
eventual court case. Is there an exemption which would apply here.
