Hi there
We set up a support worker service at the beginning of
last academic year -in a nutshell support workers are
advertised for by us (they are self employed), we keep
a register of available support workers & book them on
behalf of students and process their timesheets.
As Dfes have now said it is fine for institutions to have
on costs taken from a students DSA to help pay for the
cost of this service, can anyone tell me what level of on
costs they are charging and what this covers??
Anyone ahead of me and already written guidelines and
operating a similar model of support worker service please
let me know.
