Apologies to those of you who already know about this.
We are delighted to announce the launch of the website for the
research project: Disabled Students and Multiple Policy Innovations
in Higher Education. The project is being carried out jointly by the
Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow. It aims to examine how multiple
policy innovations in higher education interact with policies aimed at
wider access for disabled students, assessing the impact of both sets of
policies on the participation and experiences of disabled students.
The website includes reports and papers from the project in
downloadable form. The site can be found at
http://www.ed.ac.uk/ces/Disability/index.htm
Of particular interest may be the report of the findings of the recent
questionnaire survey of further and higher education institutions,
which gives a snapshot of recent and current practice for disabled
students. In addition, you will find reports of interviews with key
informants, findings from the analysis of HESA data and several
conference papers that bring together the findings from different
parts of the research.
If you would like to be added to the emailing list for the project to
receive notification of new items on the website, please contact Moira
Burke [log in to unmask] telephone 0131 651 6282.
Many of you will have helped with the project by filling in a
questionnaire, being interviewed or otherwise providing support or
information. We are very grateful for your assistance and hope that
you find the outputs from the project useful. If you have any
comments or feedback, please feel free to contact any member of
the project team at any point.
With best wishes
