Confidentiality shouldn't be an issue - good Sign Language Interpreters (and, of course, properly trained and, preferably, qualified SLIs will be employed, won't they!) have an established Code of Practice. Confidentiality is part and parcel of their work. See the CACDP website for details, or the ASLI website.

Has anyone had experience of supporting deaf students, who have sign
language interpreters, completing a physiotherapy course? How can
issues such as confidentiality (w.r.t. interpreter) on work placements
be tackled?
