Sorry to those of you who are on both lists, but this debate has just
fizzled out on the NADO list, and I think we all need to start looking for
suitable answers as the Fire Service strikes grow nearer...
What procedures do you have in place for evacuating wheelchair-users from
multi-storey buildings, in the event of the strikes?
If the answer is 'evac-chairs', how do you ensure that there are always
members of staff trained in their use in the building?
Has anyone had to consider the possibility that wheelchair users can not be
allowed access to multi-storey buildings during the strikes?
Hopefully this'll be the start of a long and fruitful debate...!
Best wishes,
Kirsty
