Hi - I have searched in vain for specific guidance on this, but can find
none. Help, please.
A unit in my institution is about to instal CCTV cameras in a classroom
full of very expensive computer equipment. They want to use the system to
[among other things] identify students who break rules about eating and
drinking in the [24-hour] classroom - fizzy drinks and computers don't go
well together.
Is this OK? It's hardly for 'the prevention and detection of crime' or for
'public safety'. Do I have to change our notification over this? And is
it a legitimate purpose, anyway?
Thanks
Alison
