medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Of related interest might be the _Vita_ of Agnes of Bohemia -- a
fascinating
woman. I provide it (in Latin, from Seton's edition) at:
<http://freespace.virgin.net/angus.graham/Agnes.htm>
The German version may follow in due course, once I have all this
marking done.
I am curious as to why Agnes was only canonised as late as 1989. Is this
a
slavic plot instigated by Mr Wojtla? Does anyone of you know the
politics
behind this? Is 750+ years from activity to canonisation a record?
Angus, Oman
(pleasant today, at last: I have swept the yard)
