medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Two off-listers within an hour prompt me to the following for all:
<www.sismel.it> will get you to the on-line catalogue. But it can be
slow and you might have to leave it for a while and try again -- I've
ALWAYS found problems getting there.
Per posta: SISMEL, Edizioni del Galluzzo, c.p. 90, I-50029 Tavarnuzze
(Italy): drop them a note and you get the annual catalogue in your
mailbox. You can request this by e-mail: <[log in to unmask]>.
These are the people who bring you a whole bunch of things (Micrologus,
Itineraria, Hagiographica, Filologia Mediolatina ... and much more), and
Claudio Leonardi is among the general editors (!). Much is in Italian,
some is not, among their volumes are must-haves for some of us. Many of
us will sometimes want to buy a bit or so, some will make
recommendations for our libraries and perforce wait till we get our
jammy fingers on it for ourselves.
There are good things here. If you don't know it, dip in!
Angus, Oman
