medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
My name is Sandra Lowerre and I am a new member of this list.
My research interests are concerned with medieval hagiography, the lives of
the desert fathers/mothers in particular.
I am teaching Old and Middle English at a German university.
My matter of interest today is about one or several unofficial accounts of
the life of St. Francis, which Stephen Wilson in his introduction to _Saints
and their Cults_ mentions.
Does he refer to a legend called the "Speculum Perfectionis", attributed to
a Brother Leo? And if so, would anyone know how to get a hold of this
version?
Sandra
