Charles,
Nooo... Nothing about a swipe at Europe. Seemed to have come mainly from
the Employment field with quotes supplied by persons from 'Personnel Today',
'The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development' and 'The Employers
Forum on Statute and Practice. Was a straight aimed, apparently less than
fully informed, criticism of the DPA rules due out in April.
I was referring to the Data Protection Commissioners draft Code of Practice
on Employer/Employee Relationships which it appeared to me the criticisms
were aimed at.
Considerable amount of useful guidance in that CoP, of which the majority
seems to be linked back to, and supported by, other legislation.
Did not realise it was due out in April myself so will need to really motor
with my project to try and get a bit ahead.
