I'll have a go:
Knowledge management is about the effective sharing of knowledge,
competence and information for the benefit of the organisation, its
stakeholders and its customers, ie KM has a strong element of
organisational learning. Information management is concerned with the
efficient (and lawful!) maintenance and storage of data and its
presentation as information in a usable and manageable form (to avoid data
overload).
