I am looking at putting together a training programme for employees on the
Data Protection Act 1998 to implement before October 2001 when the
transitional provisions end.
It would be very interesting to know, what other organisations are doing to
train their employees. Would any members of this group like to share their
proposed methods in this area.
For my own company, I have already issued a Data Protection policy and am
proposing to distribution a briefing sheet to all employees (maybe with a
Data Protection knowledge quiz to add interest!). I am also considering if
to hold group training sessions, at least for the main departments which
handle personal data.
Any further thoughts in this area would be appreciated.
