I had a query recently along a similar theme.
Someone wrote to me saying they had learned from their father (now elderly)
that they had an illegitmate brother. This brother was born to a woman
(named) who gave birth at the Clinic. The month and year of birth were
quoted ( 40 years ago). The enquirer wanted confirmation that this woman
had given birth to a son.
Fortunately I was able to state that we had no records of anyone giving
birth during the time span mentioned. But what if there had been....
