If the concerns end up justified and the cause was proven to be abuse, would
the staff be concerned about providing witness statements for any
prosecution? Do not the same issues arise then?
Is not the crux of this matter, as identified above, more about having the
correct mechanisms in place to assure the rights of the persons making the
factual report, as well as persons subject to a report, are upheld.
If the report is factual and the privacy of all the parties involved is
properly assured how can there be any problem?
Difficulties maybe, but hey.... thats data protection.
