Not to continue the properly balanced implementation of the DPA its
principles and the exemptions as a result of actions by a few persons acting
outside the natural law would be to achieve some of the objectives of those
persons.
I believe the DPA is resilient enough to cater for extra ordinary
circumstances and still protect the rights of individuals; If it is not
that needs identifying to the appropriate body.
Private conversations do not exist on the INTERNET, we should all be, and
remain, aware of that. As data protection/privacy practitioners I am sure
we are. I am equally sure that intercepted e-mails already always have been
'admissible evidence', but see no real reason why that should stop lawful
and informed discourse about data protection matters.
