Also, given that we have been talking about "Disproportionate Effort" Re Subject Access. I notice (Certainly in Scotland and under the Draft FOI Bill) that the costs of any requests less than £100 will have to be met by public authorities, while requests that cost between £100 & £500 will have to be paid for by the applicant. Authorities will not be obliged to meet any requests which would cost more than £500!! (Go on Missus prove its only worth £99 and not £101??!!! springs instantly to mind - or am I just being cynical?) What was bill called again??

I would add to the comments made - that as FOI is about corporate reporting
to the public at an organisational level and given that we (mostly) have two
years to go, now is the time for designing the systems that will provide the
information required in 2/3/4/5 years time. We should now (I know some are)
be actively creating systems that support the requirements of openness and
access. That's the Systems Analysis and Design challenge.
