Thanks for all your comments. Just to clarify where I'm coming from:
Both the payroll and personnel functions are performed by the University
and the SU staff are covered for all University personnel and welfare
policies. The University Charter also provides for a University Students
Union with the University responsible for that body.
Am I wrong therefore to assume that the University should include the SU in
its notification?
