For a start we should not be misusing trade marks in this way. Hormel
Foods make their position fairly clear.

Even if spam is sent in compliance with the DPA it is still spam or
unsolicited commercial email (UCE). Few people do see this as
"legitimate direct marketing". Unfortunately it is not illegal in
itself in the UK, but does break the acceptable use rules of every
reputable ISP and can often lead to termination of accounts with ISPs.
