Somebody (a year ago) from an academic instritution in this mail group, I
think, had a letter from the Commissioner dealing with a confidential
references.
My recollection is that the scenario was something like this: A reference
given by one Department to another Department, in relation to an individual
who moved to a new job BUT within the same University. In that letter, the
Commissioner confirmed that the reference was subject to the exemption in
Schedule 7, para 1.
My question is "Is this true?" and if so, "can anyone help me trace this
letter"?
Chris
