Jonathan, such decommissioning is processing and requires to be covered by a
contract (Third Party Processing Agreement) as outlined in the DPA 1998.

What does everyone think of companies like the one below?
Simply the process of handing a machine containing data to a third party who
have no right to see the data, is surely in itself a breach of the act. They
do not seem to guarantee that they won't look at the data first before they
destroy it.
